I wanted to have a 
character (representing the integers) in a NeoOffice document on Mac OS X 10.4. I couldn't find an installed font containing the character and according to Wikipedia I need a Blackboard Bold typeface style. After a few google searches I found a jsMath font that seemed to work fine.

I don't what's more or less correct but pretty much everytime I've needed a weird maths symbol (relational alegbra stuff for example) Code 2000 has been the font for me (http://www.code2000.net/code2000_page.htm). That way you can use the right Unicode value too.
Thanks Andrew. Font Book had a few issues validating the Code 2000 (v1.171) when importing on the Mac. It really didn't want me to install it.
So oddly the version I downloaded is called 1.16 and it works fine. Code 2001 (http://code2000.net/code2001.htm) has the symbol for integers but doesn't have a lot of the others unfortunately.
The other source is GNU's freefont (http://www.gnu.org/software/freefont/) including Free Mono.
